After the success of its first offsite Health & Wellness program recently completed in April, NJFFB will be offering a spring-time Health & Wellness Program for people who are blind or vision impaired.  The spring session will continue to be held at the First Lutheran Church on Park Street in Montclair, and will run for ten sessions starting Friday, April 15, from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

The first session had an enrollment of 10 students who participated in Yoga, Tai Chi, Horticultural Therapy, Healing through Drumming, and a professionally-led support Group. The spring session has already enrolled over 25 students after the success of our winter session, and through assistance from the NJ Commission of the Blind and Visually Impaired.  Executive Director David Feinhals noted, "The success of our first ever off site program in drawing participants from Essex County ensures this will be an ongoing part of the Foundation’s curriculum.  Word of mouth about our program along with support from the state has enabled us to triple the enrollment in our spring time program.  We look forward to continuing to expand this program in Montclair and other counties throughout New Jersey.”

The fee for the 10 sessions, made up of fifty separate classes, has been reduced from $200 to $150 due to the increased demand. A limited number of scholarships are available for this spring session.
