NJFFB is seeking to make our programs even more accessible. In 2011, NJFFB will partner with organizations in several counties throughout northern New Jersey that are interested in hosting our new Wellness Program for the Blind and Visually Impaired. This program, which will meet weekly throughout four seasonal sessions, has been designed to provide an holistic approach to living with vision loss, and consists of courses such as Yoga, Horticultural Therapy, Healing through Drumming and Resource Group. Not only are these courses accessible to people with vision loss, but they can easily be adapted to meet the needs of individuals with additional disabilities or health conditions. If you have been unable to find a program in your community that would enable you to truly participate in group classes that focus on health and well-being, connect with others living with vision loss, and learn about resources and adaptive solutions to the challenges you may be facing, then please call our program director, David Feinhals, at 973-627-0055, ext. 333. David will provide you with an update of our progress as we branch out to additional counties, and will add your name to a list of people to call when we find a new location within your county.

We will also continue to offer a variety of programs at our Denville campus. Please call our student services coordinator, Linda Groszew, at 973-627-0055, ext. 312 if you would like to learn more about registration information for the winter 2011 session, transportation options, or in-depth course descriptions.
