Girl Scout Troop 544 Completes Sensitivity
Training
Girl Scout Troop 554 of Denville is participating in a
special project with the New Jersey Foundation for the Blind. This project
will enable the Girl Scouts to earn their Girl Scout Silver Award and will
educate Denville business owners on how to correctly assist shoppers or
patrons who are blind or visually impaired.
The Girl Scouts have completed NJFFB’s Sensitivity
Training and will be sharing all they have learned with businesses, retailers,
and restaurants, customizing their presentation to the specific business
category.
Since our Orientation & Mobility instructors often
train students how to cross streets and how to locate destinations in
commercial areas, Downtown Denville is the ideal training environment
for this project.

Project, please email info@njffb.org.
