Types of Donations We Accept
General Contribution
Making a general donation will help us
to provide direct services in the core areas of blindness
rehabilitation, such as braille, activities of daily living,
assistive technology, safe traveling skills, and counseling
services to individuals and their family members. To see a
full list of our core and elective courses that we offer,
please see our
Current Programs page.
Congratulations To...
This is a great way to acknowledge an achievement of someone close to you such
as a graduation, birthday, etc. Please put the name of the person you would like to congratulate as well
as an address where we can send the card in the additional comments section of the donation form.
In Memory Of...
This is an opportunity to honor the memory
of a friend or loved one that was visually impaired or whose
philanthropic work you wish to continue. Please specify the
name of the person who has passed, as well as as the name
and address of the location to which we should send an acknowledgment
in the additional comments section of the donation form.
Student Scholarship
Although it costs the Foundation 5,000
dollars to provide direct services to a student for ten weeks,
only a nominal fee is charged. You can help us provide quality
rehabilitative services to our students by making a Student
Scholarship Donation. If you know the particular student to
whom you would like to donate tuition, please specify the
name in the additional comments field.
Helen Gromann Hall
Helen Gromann, a longtime board member
and Foundation Founder passed away in January of 2007. One
of Helen's working philosphies at the Foundation was "rehabilitation
through recreation". In that spirit, the Board of Trustees
voted to name our auditorium in her honor. In addition, a
donation fund has been set up in her name. Any donations made
in her name will be used to fund our optional recreational
courses, thus reinforcing "rehabilitation through recreation".
